This week we read "Hen Hears Gossip" and learned that gossip is when you talk about other people's personal lives, usually behind their back. We learned that gossip can hurt others and spread stories that are untrue or personal. We played the game Telephone to see how stories can changed when passed person to person. We started with the story "Ms. Ramos, Ms. Iris, and Ms. Cait when to the ice cream store to buy chocolate ice cream." When the story made it around our entire class, it changed into "The jungle." We thought it was funny at first to see how stories can get mixed up, but then realized that if it were real gossip we could really hurt someone's feelings. |
