Thank you for Aina in Schools for teaching us how to make uala (sweet potato) hummus! We all contributed to making the delicious dish! We enjoyed eating our uala hummus with healthy fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots, celery, and lettuce. Who knew healthy eating could taste sooooo good?!

For science, we learned about magnets and how it uses the forces of push and pull. We learned that magnets have a north pole and a south pole. Through investigation, we realized that a poles that are the same push away from each other while opposites attract! Here we are finding things in our classroom that are attracted to our magnets. One of the students went further to the investigation and tried to see if magnets can "rub off" their magnetic properties to metal objects to make those metal objects magnetic too! He put a rubbed a magnet to the scissors to see if the scissors could turn into a magnet and attract a paper clip. Awesome inquiry!
PS: We realized not all metals are attracted to magnets! Literacy:
